I KNOW how relieved you must be!!! YAYYYY!!
I had a feeling that it was just a fat pouch!! LOL Tell Eva that I know how she feels!
Hi, I took Eiva to the vet last week. The vet checked her out. He explained very clear to me. I might share with you all.
First, he thought it might has 3 posibilty for that big lump. Cancer, water retention or fat. Felt her back, yes - with muscle and bone so it wasn't cancer. If cancer, it only bony. No muscle or meat around the bone. He checked her throat, mouth and saw Eiva has a pinky nose. Listening to her heart. Sound very normal. He confirmed is not heart disease. Circulation good. Confirm it is FAT!
Now I let her go out - Wild. She climbs up high but want us to get her down. She falls a lot but still want to climb. She didn't eat as much as before. She becomes a choosy eater.
I'm thinking hernia. Take her to the vet. Good luck!
Is your female cat also has a big lump (like a thick soft skin) underneath? Very possible is fat but I'll take her to the vet. Thanks for the responding.
How recently was she spayed? A lump is not normal. It could be any of the things you mentioned. It could also be infection from her spay surgery if that has been recent or it could a hernia. You should take her to your vet to narrow down the possibilities.
