On a more serious note, I felt horrible when you posted about Tiddie’s passing. I wasn’t expecting that. I hope DF is ok. I know she loved that cat from the moment she saw him.
She should know she is not alone and we are here for support............ always. Her pain is definitely felt on this community.
Opus,
This is all very good. Yes, the fact that he isn't peeing outside the box means he is in no pain or discomfort and that whatever you are doing is working honey!!! Keep that spirit up. It is time consuming and exhausting I agree. I used to prepare my cats foods until I found this farm and I started buying the raw foods there. Sounds like he is getting good hydration and everything is working fine.
I'm so glad for you and your boys.
My brats are doing well. Abby is a little pig. He made me give him egg yolk today lol. Dillan is just a mix between a cat and a vacuum. He eats everything he finds, plastic, hair, silk, you name it. So technically, he is very helpful in trying to keep the house clean!! He completely destroyed my headphones out of pure frustration or boredom, to which I told him he owed me $20.00 because he wasn't a kitten anymore. I might send him out to on a job search so he pays me!! But other than that he is a very healthy kitty and we love him to pieces. He is so funny :)
My bebe moves a lot. I have another prenatal visit on Friday. My doctor wants to take an opportunity to schedule me for a hospital visit so I can meet my team (nurse, anesthesiologist, labor assistant and possibly my baby’s pediatrician) and take a tour and see the delivery rooms etc. My baby weighs 1 lb and 3 oz and is NOT a shy boy!!! The ultrasound technician laughs nonstop when she sees what Noah does in my belly. You've gotta love that little man :-)
Hi Opus,
Man, I can imagine how swamped you are with info. There's tons of it out there. I'm happy to read Nemo has taken to your pork recipe and sounds like he's getting his fluids. Have you stopped giving him water in the syringe? And an added bonus that Sami likes this too. You are so awesome to take such good care of your boys. I know it's alot of trouble, but you're up to it and I know you love them and will do anything to keep them healthy. Sounds like it's working and "Yay" for Nemo and no accidents!! Really, a positive sign :)
You know aLOT about cats and allergies, Opus. I thought for sure I came up with something new when I told you about the Cyclosporin, but naturally, you'd heard of that, lol
((Hugs))
hi and thx for the concern, I've been into 'diets' and I'm swamped in printouts....bad when a cat doesn't even like my cooking!! lol.
Finally did find a cooked pork recipe that Nemo likes IF I add an inciter on top (Parmesan cheese)..anyway, he IS eating it and with all the added water mix he should be getting his fluids??....so far anyway NO house soiling so I hope this also means he isn't experiencing pain when peeing....at least he is 90% OFF his dry food. now I have to start adding the supplements he needs but I need to do that slowly so as not to turn him off the recipe!
Sami's allergy's have been at bay thank God, only 2 very small scabs since Jan....he is one that would NEVER eat human food, has never begged for a taste of anything we eat and will walk by anything I 've ever offered Nemo....BUT he decided on his own that he too likes the pork recipe....so perhaps I will be feeding both cats this and I am hoping that Sami won't be allergic to Pork and thus give a long acting food to help with his skin problems(?)
Man this can get totally consuming, reading/gathering ingredients/cooking/grinding/freezing/feeding!!! but all worth it if it works.
I've not had alot of time to be on MH, but I do log on at least once a day just to see if all our fur kids and parents are well.
How are Abby and Dillian?....soon '3' boys for you, such an exciting time in you're life dear girl!
Thx for the support given to DF, she really needs it right now!!
best to you and the boys.
