Kitten Behavior

I got a cat when I returned to school after I dislocated my knee. She is now five months and he name is Emily Dickinson. She's a lovely little thing but when I have company she goes a bit wild. She will play very roughly with them biting them. She does this whether they ignore her or they try to play with her. She attacks feet or pretty much whatever she can. I try to stop her by flicking her ear or just picking her up and holding her close to my chest but most times she just turns to play roughly with me also. I just wanted to know if you guys know why she does this and some tips on things I should do to train her better when it comes to playing.

Could be a jealousy factor , she is protective of you aswell and doesnt like others being around getting your attention..just a guess as My Tweety has similar traits and sulks if I pay any attention to other animals..

Hi, Maybe you should get her some toys. But she is a kitten so there may not be very much you ca do. Kittens are like babies they dont know whats right or wrong, so you should probably just gove her some time. good luck and maybe you should ckeck out his website. :)

hi bee and welcome. I will send you a link with some suggestions....takes awhile for kitty to grow up and learn this isn't acceptable. perhaps she gets over stimulated too by unknown strangers when they come to her house..? good luck. post again if we can give more suggestions.
