Apple, Jade's kitty named Jade, is mainly an outdoors kitty, so theres no litter box.
as far as the litter box your girls use Apple, after a worm treatment you DO NEED TOO dump out all the old sand, wash their box out really good than add clean fresh sand. You need to do this everytime there is a treatment....small larvae will live in the sand and not be visible to the eye, this will RE INFECT the girls.
good luck to you all...♥
Do you say you don't have a litter box?
How? Do your cats use the toilet?
I did it other similar ocasions and washed the pillows of their cushions ( that they are not using this last times, btw)
I usually dont change all the sand from the litter but i pick the poo very frequently.
I also asked vet about the poo Lolo do outside, but vet told me eggs and larvaes die soon exposed to sun/fresh air...
This time I completely forgot about the litter box - ok, lets be sincere,I thought about but I was a lot tired and I not even brushed then very well.
I means I 've got a new hair ball in the morning...
Girls are not waking me up early for food now - but they do for attention and/or when the litter is wet/dirty ( kids dont like cleaning bussines like Lolo - specialy if poo is a little bit softer)
Almost everyday - and when they don't, someone in the house upside mine do.In the middle I have crazy dreams with my late mom, cats, fur balls and other absolute "non sense" things...
Good thinking, Aligator79! We don't have a litter box so I wouldn't of thought of that!
Apple...are you changing the litter completely each time you dose the girls??
Are these the little rice looking worms? If so, I know I was told to totally replace the litter after treatment once they were "done". I don't know if they step on any little particle and clean their paw.... EWWWWW Just the thought makes me gag.
Flea are infected but cat has to swallow - is not transmited by its "bite"
People from one of those links you gave me said" yes, your cat is unlucky.no all fleas are with dypilidium
The interterview, the previous one no reply, the most recent one I gave up and didnt appear ( too weird place,indeed- guess I commented about)
About the toys, well ,we dont have many for cats here, the stuff for dogs is still the "piece of resistence" of local pet shops . I will suffer a lot living in USA ;-)
Every site I enter I want everything...
Oh, honey, I hear your frustration starting with the Frontline. That's not easy for my husband AND I to do so I feel for you. And on top of it, you're having to cut the dose since it's for dogs so, gosh, it would be hard for Anyone to tell if the correct dose was applied. You're getting on the skin, right? I gotta tell you, half the time, most of it is on Jade's fur instead of her skin - it's just not easy and Very stressful. Stuff is expensive and hate to think it was wasted. And here you're doing in on Three cats! All I can say, is I applaud you! Of Course you want them healthy - you're doing a great job and the best you can do all alone. Oh (((Hugs))) sweetie.
You know, someone may correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it's the fleas that are infected - it's only when kitty *swallows* the flea that makes the tapeworms. I'm not completely sure on that!?
I know what you mean with the cute toys - so hard to resist!
Oh hey, how did your interview go?
Wondering : are all damn fleas LoLo gets in her walks always infected?
I mean, theres no fleas without dypilidium?
Just saw a Christmas kit for dogs ( a stocking with 3 small chocolates and other treats)
Sometimes its good not find things for my babies - I do wanna spoil my princess a little bit.Seen like they wont get that toy not so expensive I liked ,as well
Just want they healthy...
Done again! Anti worm Petzi ( its the same as Drontal/Endal,just a little small and in fish shape - choose it for the size)
Vet had told me there's no many options of Cats Antiworms and I should keep giving them those with praziquantel. They say those combined medicines for worms and fleas do not work properly for the seconds,I should give one of the habitual ones and put Frontiline for our invisible enemies
Petzi yesterday, piece of cake, Frontiline today, never know if I did well even more having to fracionate a Dogs Pip and aply with a syringe.
Its always messy and stressing for me - no matter how I try to organize all perfectly, always happens something wrong .This time I lost the syringe after use it for Loreena and the new one I had bought just in case simply make the stuff run all over my hand...
Ok,I put again the correct dosage _ I do hope! Also hope the stuff could be placed ok considering those furry ball I have.Dont feel at easy the way I do about the pills, not at all... They scratched a few after but it was all I see.
No rodents at all- just those skank babies that appeared once - but they disapperaread soon,no even neighboor saw then anymore
Worm seens to be Diplidiun, thats why we wonder about fleas.Docts say its possible not notice then, but with 3 girls I do doubt no vestiges could would be found
And I NEVER met a worm in Loreena's poo. its always one of the kids !
No way I could keep L.inside, it not been good to be inside not even to myself...( its a long story -lets say ts not healthy for her)
Wishing buy them a toothpaste again - now I found one cheaper, but its mint, tuttifrutti or chocolate flavoured _ and big!
Its a pity dont use one since my girls are so ready for....( I guess)
found this simple article too apple, shows the infestation cycle for roundworms, cats can be infected by eating rodents....do you have alot of rodents in the area that Loreena maybe eating?
At some point it may become necessary to keep her inside too, I know you hate to do this however to continually become infested isn't good either..I will try and read to see if I can find some herbal treatments that maybe safer to use on a continual basis...

gee I understand your worry, they are getting treated very very frequently, do you have any idea why they keep getting infested?
since the girls are indoor only, it has to be coming from Lolo and her eating something contaminated than passing it onto the girls I would think?
Do you know what type of worms?
I have really never heard of using a dog, dewormer. I too would wonder about the safely of that.
I will send you some sites to read. I hope they can lead to some answers for you. ♥

Small talk with another vet yesterday - it seens like I would have to try that Frontile for Dogs schemme again ...
But I dont now which antiworm brand I will use this time, since almost all are the same farmaco and the ones he suggested are FOR DOGS!!! ( yes, I told him I had cats - and the guy is young, smart and not dumb -I guess...)
Sigh... :(
