My 6 1/2 yr old male cat can't seem to hold anything down for the last week.

He isn't running a temperature and isn't  lethargic.  I had decided it was his cat food after I ran out of Hairball Control food and replaced it with his usual because he went an entire day without vomiting.  But, day two it's back...whenever he eats or drinks.  Other than "talking" just before he throws up, his behaviour isn't anything out of the unusual.  He doesn't appear to have any abdominal tenderness, either.  On a side note,  we buried his grandmother 2 months ago from feline leukemia.  But, he isn't displaying any of the symptoms she had.  Help!
