Cat Injured

I found my two year old cat lying under a few shovels in my backyard while I went to feed her. She came out but I noticed she had a huge limp and then I saw that she was covered in dried blood. I cannot tell whether or not she was attacked by another cat or animal or if she was ran over. She is still alive, however I was wondering if whether or not giving her human antibiotics would hurt her seeing as when I went to the vet, they said the best they could do was to let her rest and eat, but she is currently not eating. So if anyone would give me some answers it would be most appreciated.

Did the vet determine that she had no broken bones and did not need stitches?

Also, did he check for internal injuries? You should be highly alert for dried blood in stool, if you find that go back to the vet immediately.

Swampy would consider giving small amounts of her favorite foods. You could even consider making her some food -- roast a turkey and give her some (plus the humans can eat the rest).

Hope your kitty is okay.

My understanding is you should never give your pets human meds. You must be terribly upset! I hope your baby is ok and just upset with this bad experience! Please keep us posted!  Don't let her out till you're sure she's ok (I'm sure you thought of that but they can be stubborn). I'll be thinking of you this w'end.
