Thanks, I feel better now. I'm taking her to the vet frequently. My baby is still blind, but today when she was in the sun her both pupils contracted to a vertical line. I need some hope, thanks. I have to wait any how. Thanks for having asked your vet.

To answer your question, I asked my vet!!! LOL I just talked to her about my cats and well, I took advantage and askd her about your case.
Following a stroke, the cat may be temporarily blind or partly paralysed and may lose control of bladder or bowel. Most vets advise a "wait and see" approach. Once the initial effects have worn off, many cats go on to live very long, healthy and happy lives with little more than a head tilt, minor tremor or slightly wobbly gait as a reminder.
Definitely expect for her to be ok again. Let us hope she will not have a stroke again ever!! If she does, then it might be a good idea to take her to a specialist.
Good Luck!
The vet didn't ask for any blood tests.
She only underwent blood tests when she was 5, some 10 years ago. She was then diagnosed with pancreatitis, and takes ursodeoxycholic acid every day, and she has been eating blended cat food with a sirynge for some 7 years, as she doesn't digest solid food well. But she was otherwise healthy and happy, until the stroke..
Now the bleeding in her eye finished, but she continues completely blind. Her pupil in the left eye contracts with light, but she sees nothing.
I continue to give her candilat and microsolone.
Do you think I should ask her vet to do those blood tests you mentioned?
And if indeed it is a stoke, I can hope she will be able to recover her eyesight?.
Thanks, Alba
To answer your question, it might be a good idea to consider asking your vet to refer you to a veterinary neurologist or internal medicine specialist (depending on which your vet thinks is best).
Has the vet done blood work? A good blood panel with complete blood cell count will help. What symptoms has the vet mentioned to you? Is your cat hypoglysemic? hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), hyperglycemia (high blood sugar), hypertension (high blood pressure), seizure activity, heart problems are all symptoms of stroke in cats.
