cats paw

My cats left front paw is balck and blue, swollen, it looks like it may be peeling along his toe line, and he is limping. But he doesnt seem to be in any discomfort when i touch or squeeze the area, and seems all around okay other than the noticibale limp.  what should I do?

Poor kitty. I agree with opus88 and BluCrystal. Please take your cat
to be seen by your vet as soon as possible. I hope your cat recovers
soon. Eve

You should take your cat to the vet.  This is abnormal.  Blessings - Blu

difficult to say without seeing it...it could be an injury and infection..is it oozing at all?
I would certainly have a Vet take a look at it soon...

it could be other things such as Eosinophilic Granuloma which can occur on the pads of the feet and usually only affect ONE foot..I will send you a site with some photos so you can compare. this condition is usually allergy related...what type of litter do you use? try chemical free...non perfumed there are several on the market like Yesterdays News(paper) or Walnut based...I do NOT like the corn based ones b/c these are full of chemicals..
what cleaners do you use on your floors or carpets????? try ALL natural cleaners around your home such as vinegar.
I DO NOT like resorting to steroids(nor antibiotics)...try all other measures before allowing your Vet to prescribe these, use as a last resort if nothing else works b/c they can cause many health problems down the line...

there is another more serious and hard to treat condition called Plasma Cell Pododermatitis..I will send you a link to that as well.
