So great had my nl appointment today and i ride back furious.having driven to the other end of barcelona by taxi the first comment i got is...well i am a ns! I had the feeling i didnt interess him as i already had the op.so looking at my picS he said.well u know that u ve been operated for something that doesnt need to be operated.chiari 1 is mostly not operated.of course i thought!! Then he asked me why they never made an mri of my spine...i told him thats my question.i was so hurt that i told him that i am not the one who normally should guide me through this and i am not A doctor...i get no answers for nothing.then finally he said the ns that did surgery is not taking care of me...aaahhh i know...so could u help me.tomorrow i ll have a spine mri to see if i have a syrinx.at least sth that is so overdue.

Well they booked me the wrong scan...spent another fortune for taxi and have to go again...on thursday at 7 a.m.great...i am getting tired of it all

Thank you girls.after a nap i really needed i start to see things from a different angle...actually the ns today was quite right.before u do decompression a good ns alwYs asks for a full spine mri and has to be able to explain ur symptoms!!! At least he is somehow taking ovef my case and said that he is well able to answer my questions..which nobody did before.he could have send me back to my ns..so i am quite thankful

I have the same problem. Spine mri was done only after surgery only because i asked for it. Ugh. And it states no change in chiari after surgery. And my first nl who referred me to my ns refuses to help me. Im sure its because i had surgery. Thats why im goin to dr oro. I need to know if my surgery was done right  because im still in pain, 7 mo later. Keep fighting sweetie

Well, at the very least you are  going to get an MRI of your spine. You def. need that. You are always in my thoughts and prayers my friend. At least he is trying to helo a little. I know it is frustrating, but try to keep  your head up. Hoping that you have a good symptom free day !!
