not sure if I had a blackout

While in the ER for extreme neck pain (still post op less than a year out) when I was trying to relieve my pain by keeping my head back I felt like nothing for what seemed like a second and than felt normal again. I didn't tell the doctor because I didn't know if it was a blackout or not. Anyone know what I mean?

My herniation is 7mm and I had the duraplasty decompression in July. I'm not even a year out and I still feel like I had surgery yesterday.

Not further down too?
I had an extensive laminectomy 12 yrs. before the PFD.  My NS said recently
that they've learned that the 2 go together ~40% of the time.

I now have no laminae; I am a true bobble head.  :)

Yep from the cm1 but I had surgery recently. The er doc don't think the sprain is from the chiari.

Do you have compression in your neck?  Even repaired, I have to still be careful of neck positions (you know how a hose always kinks in the same spot?).

It's just programming for students. If accepted, and successful I'd get 5000 dollars by the end of the summer. Unfortunately I'm not sure I'm ready for it so my proposal might be rejected. But I can still hope.

I'm three weeks from summer vacation, so I'll be resting again even if I do get accepted to google summer of code I'd be home when doing the coding and at my own pace.

The thing is, ur body may be in a different healing stage and need more energy to do so.....I know that I went thru diff stages....and continued to heal thru the 3 yrs and I can say I can see a diff from last yr to now, so 4 yrs!!

It takes time, and we are all different as to what we need.....all I can think is it is part of the healing.

I did real well with the same schedule last quarter and my teachers are very understanding. Only difference is the computer class is harder because it's assembly language, but it's not any less stressful than the spanish class I thought I wouldn't pass.

I do not think all the way back is a good idea even if u felt better doing it....depending on if u still have some herniation it could get compressed....and u do not need that...

Have u talked with ur NS?

Oh and they diagnosed me with neck sprain. I kind of disagree mainly because they didn't do an MRI only a ct scan and it was without contrast and the problem didn't start the way they said it would have which was sleeping incorrectly. I was wide awake when the pain all of a sudden started.
