I'll try to keep an open mind i just hope my apt goes well today..I'll update you .. thanks
Just keep an open mind...Drs do not always see things the way we do , and they do not always say what we expect....
It sure seems that way I was sent for MRI'S of the back(separate incident due to injury of back causing herniated L5 disk) , neck, regular brain, brain with and without contrast and tomorrow another brain with and without contrast, but this time a high field MRI. I also was sent for an MRA as well. NO CINE MRI, but seems like everything else.. I will mention it tomorrow and see what he says - since I feel worse then I did 3 weeks ago when I last saw him. I am just praying tomorrow when I tell him about the recent POTS dx that he does not dismiss my Chiari and blame my symptoms all on the POTS.
There r many NS's that may not want to do a CINE...some feel they can tell by looking at a MRI or if the patient has a syrinx they feel confident and no need...but others like it as it can also show other issues as it is more lit up and they can see smaller veins etc....
Thanks - then I will ask my neurologist Thursday about the CINE MRI. I have so many symptoms, but from what they can see with the MRI of the brain with and without contrast they are saying I have no csf blockage, which is making them think that my symptoms maybe due to something else. I have had so many other tests and am going for a tilt table test today along with another MRI with and without contrast Thursday.
Yes if I'm not mistaken it is. I had all the MRI's also and then I finally asked for a Cine Mri because it does look at the hole spine and the flow. Everything was good on mine which is very good, but I still deal with styptoms. :( hope this helps you .
