We do have a thread in the Health Pages of questions for the NS.....
http://www.medhelp.org/health_pages/Neurological%20Disorders/Questions-for-a-Chiari-NS/show/1155?cid=186
Just know having a list of questions does not mean you will remember to or be able to ask them all or if they will even apply to your situation and visit....
Take someone with you to help with keeping notes and asking questions, we can become like a deer in headlights depending on what we are told.....
Good luck and keep us posted.
Could you suggest some specific questions I should ask the neurosurgeon?
Thanks ...I was excited to be able to see Dr Frim; none of the others listed on this site accept my insurance , either. The receptionist I spoke to said he treats chiari, but I hate feeling like I'm going in blind- obviously, it's a huge thing to put in someone else's hands. Just afraid to make a bad dr choice.
Sorry that name is not familiar.....in researching the name he is a brain surgeon it does not mention Chiari or any related conditions,,....no harm in checking him out....and you should be able to tell if he knows not only Chiari but ALL related conditions from speaking with him....plus how experienced he is as well....
If a member here went to , was treated by and liked this Dr he would be on our list...if he is not, it could indicate no one that is a member here went to him,....
