Hi all....well still working on a quilt I thought would have been done a month ago...sigh....but close to adding a secret item that will not be too evident at first glance but I am sure my SIL will love....
What projects are you all working on?
Fantastic news !!!
So glad you were able to to get that done without the added costs.
Thanks,I always enjoy going to a show she was involved in as she asks my opinion to her choices etc then I get to see it all together.
Hi Selma, guess what!? Right before I sat to write, the phone rang from my PCP office with a scheduled MRI at the hospital next Friday. This is wonderful news because I do not have to go to a neurologist ($) to get the script. Now I can schedule my post-op with Dr. B. When I get the disc.
Your daughter sounds like a very active girl. I really hope you both enjoy the play. She's blesses to have you.
Good Luck,.,,yesterday late in the day we got snow..,,.it only settled on the grass and cars....
I am going either tonight or tomorrow night to see a production at a school my DD subs at....she helped with movement and dance, and all music for a Shakespeare play....turning it into a musical.
And prayers my space bar continues to work....yeah....this is the best it has worked in over a month,,..I keep hitting it 5 times...lol..but it appears to work with one....got to break that habit...lol...
This weekend I am taking a bold step – literally.
I am participating in the Thunder Road Marathon, here in my hometown. I am doing the 5K race, walking in the blustery cold we are supposed to have tomorrow morning. This time, last year (before this crazy diagnosis), I was training to run the Half Marathon. My brain took me down a different route. I am not going to run; however, I am going to walk pretty briskly (to get back out of the cold), and I think of this as a brave little step toward my emotional recovery. Please send me good karma, friends.

aww thanks.....I have a quilt planned for her 5th wedding anniversary....hope to have all my other projects done so I have time to not only work on it but figure out how to make one large enuff for a King size bed in my small sewing room...lol...
I know one thing about the cold. No matter how cold The wind can blow and howl where your daughter is, it Simply can't compete with the warmth of her mother's quilt.
I do enjoy this time of yr for some of the same reasons however, the colder I get the more I hurt....so not fun to get cold, but I do love to snuggle under a quilt or afghan I made in front of a fireplace (my DD has one)...I do not...I stand in front of my gas range...lol...same warmth...not as nice to look at unless there is a pie in the oven....
This weekend I am really excited about the change of season. Unlike so many other people I have spoken to about this subject, I love the cold. I mean real cold. There is something amazing about the contrast between the cold and the warmth and light that can protect you in a safe place. At the same moment you can look outside and pull the shaw around you even tighter.
We turn off the heat and open all the windows to bring in the crisp air of autumn. But we close up again and put the heat back on after a while. But as high as you can set the forced hot air heat, there is nothing quite the same as the warmth of sitting in front of a wood burning stove (especially when the guy that lives across the street is a tree guy and gives the whole neighborhood all he free wood any of us could use). His family gets many home cooked delights in appreciation. I sit on this little stool I have had forever, right in front of that warm stove and read or do some hand sewing or quilting.
This weekend, the temperature change means all that warmth can return when we fire up that stove and listen to the wind howl against the windows that we really need to replace.

My daughter is going to be showing at a horse show this weekend! The weather is supposed to be a perfect Autumn day for it. The best part, is that it's also her birthday tomorrow. Birthdays are great days to reflect back on the years gone by ~ remembering the good stuff is always fun.
Have a great weekend!
Cheryl
