Sunday I was going to lift my son in his car seat out of my Explorer when I felt a slight pop and tearing sensation in the area of my decompression. Immediately after I had a cold feeling in that area similar to the feeling of an IV saline flush. As the day progressed and into yesterday, I've been having persistent dizziness, nausea with vomiting Monday, steady pounding headache centralized pretty much dead center on my scar, and a salt/metallic taste that comes and goes. Yesterday I started with tingling in both arms and now this morning I have steady tingling, with all the previous mentioned symptoms, and blurred vision with a numb/heavy feeling that goes from the right side of my scar into my right jaw. My first concern has been CSF leak, but I went to the ER Monday afternoon. They did a CT and contacted my NS. The scan came back clear and the NS doesn't think it's a leak. I was sent home with Zofran and Narco with the instructions that is it is not cleared up within two days to call the NS (I have a check up scheduled for Monday already). Well, today is day two with symptoms worsening so I called them and was told to stop taking the Narco, use hot and cold compresses and they will see me Monday. Am I wrong to be concerned about all the stuff going on, maybe over reacting? Honestly, when I went in to the ER, I haven't had pain like that since the nurses lapsed on my meds after surgery. I know I'm in a massive fog right now and not thinking clearly by any means, so any advice that any of you can provide is greatly appreciated!
