the family medical leave act protects your job if you simply can not return to work because of illness.
What about ur PCP...will he extend it for u?
Mayb u can get it set to limited hours........
I am so sorry u r going thru this.

I agree with everyone but I can not get back to my pain til the 9th and if i don't go in tomorrow (the 3rd) I will loose my job so i have no choice. the NS will not extend the time off so I have no idea what to do now anyone have any ideas on how to handle this please let me know.
Thanks all

I just barely read this post, and I think you are crazy if you listen to this moron who told you to go back to work so soon!!! sorry I just had to put that out therre. That said, I know you aren't crazy becuase I have had some of the same things going on but other things are better too.You need more time honey you really do. Does this doc know all the new symptoms you have been having? I am so sorry to hear you have been having all these symptoms and problems with your care when things should be much less stressfull during your recovery. ai will pray for you along with some of our others that need it so badly. try to have some kind of second opinion if need be or have him, re-evaluate that note. I don't know about you but my eyesight alone is no where so I can even read yet let alone drive!!! I am stupified!!!!!
love lots,
Suzanne
Hi, I agree with the others, it seems a bit early after surgery to be returning back to work. Despite what your doctors say you know if things are not right with you so fight your corner and make the doctors sit up and listen, as selma said go back to your PCP and work from there. Driving/operating any sort of machinery involves responsibility and if your health is not up to par then you must remember it is not just you that is at risk but the people working around you....

Please don't go back to work, you seems to have more of new pain that your NS need to address....or seek new NS to help you with new symptoms. I went in with minimal ringing in my ears but I came home with 24/7 ringing that drive me crazy, stiff neck, sharp pain in my temple and back of my eye also I am in antiobiotics due to brain fluid leakage that happened last week which I was told is normal for this type of surgery...so take easy on yourself and things we will get better with more help from 2nd opnion.
Hi....I know u r concerned, and I felt the same way when my tinnitus returned too....and slowly some symptoms do come back....but , ur body has to heal and during the healing process . So, I did find out as u heal u will have old symptoms come and go, but no where as bad as b4...I hope that is all that is going on with u and u feel better soon.
Also u can notice changes/benefits up to a yr and longer after surgery.
Only u can know how ur body is doing and if u r ready for work, seems a bit soon for full time.....especially driving a fork lift......I am not driving a car yet at almost 6 months post op, but I am sure I have a few other issues going on that u may not...we r all so different in how we respond to this surgery and recovery from it as well.
Do u have a NL or PCP that is also keeping an eye on ur progress?.....I found that a good PCP is the best way to get another opinion for my overall health and recovery.
