newly diagnosed. help?

I was barely diagnosed with chiari and I have been suffering with severe neck shoulder and back pain for months. I do not have insurance and am trying to figure out how to see a pain specialist to get treatment for the pain without insurance? My pcp only will give me a small amount of loretab and it is NOT covering it. Also if anyone has been able to get on medicaid for this? I need all the info I can get. Please and thank you all

I am actually unemployeed and a single mother of a 4 year old. I lost my job due to constant call ins for health related isues. I live in utah and am not entirely sure if there is a chiari specialist within this state. This is so hard and confusing as I can't even afford 2 drive to an appointment lmao. I will have 2 check on this. Thanks

Do u have a job that does not offer medical coverage or r u unemployed?

There is affordable ins out there for pre-existing conditions, u may want to see if u can afford it....as for medicaid each state is different as to what the criteria is...I know we have had members that were on it. The issue with state medicare /medicaid is that u have to stay in the same state for care and many times there is not a Chiari specialist near by for it to help...so look to see if u have one and then contact ur state office for medicaid and ask how u could be covered and what u need to be eligible.
