Hi Tharris
My 16 year old son has had this frontal tension like headache for over 2 years now. Once he's awake the headache is there.. but when he lies down the headache is gone. The worst his headaches get the more he sleeps.
I'm no expert but i have researched a lot and something I did find was that some experts believe it's low pressure caused by Chiari.
Please keep us posted if you get any answers..

No surgery. I go next week on the 4th for the cine MRI. Thanks for your comments!
I don't recall if you have had surgery, but this is pressure due to blockage. I am going on 2 yrs from surgery in June and I still have syptems like this. The only thing that helps me is to lay down for a bit. Laying on a incline helps me. Avoid bending forward or lifting. This brings HA on also. Hope you have a better day.

A suggestion for you is to eat a banana or two if you have diabetes then only a small one or eat a half of a large one.
You need to drink more water. and take 2 asprine. in the morning and at night.
You could have too much stress or a back or a neck injury. Or the combination of the two. If you have been drinking then the only thing that will help is to sit it out. Drink water!
