I know personally, its too soon for me to start exercising, but what is usually the time frame for getting back into low-impact exercising? An any suggestions on what a good type of exercising would be (other than walking)?
Hi Tia....swimming is good outside of walking.....and as pam mentioned the recumbent bike is great...no stress or strain to the back.....
As for a time frame...it is as individual as we all r...u have to wait and see what u r up to doing.....
We all have to keep in mind if we have ne other conditions to consider as well ...pam mentioned she has a BP issue...some people have POTS....or other related conditions...so keep them in mind...like EDSers have to avoid stretch bands as it is not good for the joints....
Finding the right guidance for this next step is as much fun as finding the chiari dx.....but we have to push forward....in fact, I am setting up some appointments to try to get a better handle on this for myself.
I have been thinking about getting a recumbent bike that I can use while watching TV. I used one at the gym and it seemed to be something I could do on a regular basis. Walking for me is not a good idea because of the drops in BP. Just a thought.
