ear pressure?

Can chiari cause ear pressure? I have been having bilat ear pressure for about a week. Never in my life have I had. This before? Feels like I have cotton or water in my ears. The doctor says no infection and everything looks fine but wanted to put me in antibiotics just in case of an infection. But if she didn't see infection why treat something that's not there? But what else is it? Ohh and iit feels like there is wet stuff on my pillow in the morning coming from my ear. Any advise on what it might be? I have see in some previous posts other have had similar issues.

I'm with Selma...I used to get that wet ear feeling too and my finger would be wet and sometimes it would leak on my pillow. That hasn't happened to me since the surgery although when the pressure is up in my head, I will still get the ear plugged/heaviness feeling like I have to keep clearing my ears.
Sweetpea- I know you have already had the surgery, so that would concern me a little. I haven't had that wet feeling since I've had mine.

Are you feeling a lot of high pressure and head rushes? I would think if it continues that you should get a Dr to check it out.

I hope you feel better!

Yes, if I put my finger in my ear my finger comes out wet.....at one time it dripped on to my pillow, but since surgery that has not happened. It is so minimal right now it is nothing to be concerned over, however, if I was vomiting and had severe HA's then I would be concerned about a larger CSF leak.

Selma, You can feel that it is wet? Holy crap.

I get pressure in my ears and my left ear occasionally flutters with something that sounds like muffled dripping water.

Thanks selma! I think I will not take the antibiotics yet?! It will only cause tummy problems and won't treat anything if its not there

HI...as a matter of fact yes it can...several of us have complained about this very issue.

Sometimes the dr will ask if ur ears feel full....

Yeah I am not sure if u r dealing with water that is in ur ear from a shower, or u have a small CSF leak...but I still get this post op...never really did find out what it is...but it is not enuff to get on my pillow...but enuff I can feel it is wet.

Talk this over with ur chiari dr and do be sure to mention all items u r dealing with m not just ones u feel apply to chiari...u may be surprised!!
