Question from OR report

I was able to get a copy of my OR transcription yesterday and it's pretty cool to read! Amazing what goes on after they put you out...

Anyway something in the report caught my attention.  It says that there was "a large amount of redundant fibrous tissue at the junction between the occiput and C1", and later it says there was a "thickened ligamentous band across the dura between c1 and c2".

This has me wondering about EDS or some other fibrous tissue problem, as I had a fibrous lump removed from my breast at age 19 and I have issues with the ligaments in both ankles/feet (post injury).

Thoughts?

:)

Do we request the OR report from medical records as well? Interested to read mine. My surgery was only 2 hours long.

Hi...it is possible to have an issue with a connective tissue condition like EDS and u should be checked....

It can affect how u heal as many with it tend to heal slower then most....

Do look into it if u feel u were not checked b4, and feel it might be an issue.

There are many types of EDS, here is a link to the EDS group here on MH and there are video links by a Dr that explain the diff types....
