Chiari Diagnosis via internet

Does anyone know where I can get a Chiari diagnosis via email/internet? My mum suffered Chiari malformation and had to have surgery to correct it. I have a series of symptoms which my mum says were similar to hers. I have a brain MRI already, but I cannot see a local doctor for a diagnosis until March 2013. I'm hoping that someone somewhere can look at my MRI and tell me if it is Chiari or not. I am looking for a diagnosis as soon as possible. At least if I know what it is I can then try to get some treatment.

My symptoms include;
- blurry vision - but Opthalmologist says nothing is wrong and glasses don' help
- extreme liht and glare sensitivity
- "brain fog" and mental confusion/disorientation
- light headed and dizzyness
- tingling and numbness around mouth/lips
- headaches, feels like it is behind the eyes and with a pressure inside the middle of my head
- pain in neck or head that is sharp and shooting.

You can send your MRI to Dr. Jho in Pittsburgh. His website has a questionaire that you can print out and explain your current symptoms/history in detail. He does not charge for this and looks at them every Monday. He was my NS and I had a fantastic experience with him.

  Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

There are a few Drs that will review ur MRI CD...some for a nominal fee, while others will do it for free in hopes that u will ne a patient.

DO u also have copies of the brain MRI report as well as the MRI itself?

I would make copies and research Drs we have on a list here and select a few, contact them and see how they will review the MRI for u.
