Thought I would share a bit of humor

I was explaining to a group of people what would happen during my surgery.   Later that night I heard one aunt calling another and "explaining" my surgery.  The aunt doing the calling is slightly mentally handicapped.  I heard her say "They are going to cut her bones in her neck and then they are going to cut her head off." I chuckled to myself and wondered what the other aunt was thinking, lol.

That is sweet that she was trying to understand and explain.  She sounds like a great Aunt :)

I was sitting in a waiting room after my first surgery and a little boy and his sister were in the seats directly in back of me.  Being small the little boy's voice carried.  "Mommy!  Look her head got chopped off!".  His mother looked mortified and tried to shush him.  Then his little sister peers around and asks me "Did the pirates get your head?"  I laughed and told her "No, I'm too hard headed".  It was too funny.

oh yes... it is funny, when you explain the surgery or even the condition and to hear them try to explain the surgery or condition to other people... I even have a very capable and non handicapped godfather who is very smart try to explain my condition to friends... and it was completely and udderly way off and really funny.... I had to jump in and correct him.. but he was really trying to explain it...
