The symptoms you describe could be from Chiari, but they could also be caused by other conditions. Make sure you get an MRI of your brain and spine. If you are diagnosed with it, find a Chiari Specialist.

...sounds like it could be a possibility....I am not a medical person.....just like u....looking for answers and relief from pain......I can only stree u geet the MRI of ur brain so u can get a dx.....even when u get that it may take time, depending on ur symptoms and the size of ur herniation.
Mine was dx last Feb......and I am still trying to get to the right drs.....I was asked to get another MRI, which I had this AM.....I am hopeing it will help me get the treatment to relieve this pain somewhat.
I don't know , what u may know about chiari, but it is congenital, and there is no cure...the surgery is just a means to releve pain and curtail some of the symptoms.....it is important to get it before perm damage can occur.

Where do u live Tracy so the members can suggest drs in ur area...also be advised u may need to travel....not all of us r near the specialists.

I hope this is of some help.

Tracey,

it is difficult to say, I am not a medical prof, but I am dx'd w/chiari....u need to get a Brain MRI and ur PC can order one...u will need a specialist if ur dx is chiari......most NS may be familiar with chiari and there r those who r not....u will need an expert.

If u did have this u would have severe headaches not just pressure.....there r related conditions also, but again u need to start wiwth the Brain MRI and move forward from there.

Hope this helps.
keep us posted
Good luck
