I am attempting to find a knowledgable neuro that I truely believes that my Chiari's is worsening as I do! I have been a pt of Dr. Armstrong's in Asheville since 2005, but don't believe he truely understnads CM. My FP is referring me to Dr.Rosner today for an appointment... just want some relief and understanding... no one seems to grasp how bad I really feel

So sorry you have gotten the run a around with your doctors. The more I become involved the chiari community the more I realize how rare a doctor I have. Dr. Barrow knew my symptoms meant one or two things and after a shunt tap for hydrocephalus shunt failure and a Cine MRI for chiari malformation confirmation I had my answer. The hard ones to convince were my parents.

  Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum,

I am so sorry u have had to deal with the "Royal Chiari Run Around" so many of us have been thru as well....it is difficult as Chiari is not a rare condition, BUT well informed and experienced Drs for Chiari ARE !!

So, it is no wonder we  find Drs that do not listen to us or understand how we are feeling.....we need a true Chiari Dr....and Dr R is one, a well respected one as well.

Know u r not alone here....we all know too well and understand how u feel.
