60 seconds isn't worth feeling how I used to or risking another surgery. Pray you watch from the ground. My NS Dr Oro and TCI both sad no and they are two of the tops in the country.
I know we with Chairi have a lot of things we enjoy in life, but having Chairi ecspecially right out of surgery is a life changing issue. I am 2 yrs post op and I now don't do the things I used to enjoy. Sad, but we have to do what is best for us and our families. I agree with all the above. I wouldn't try it just because of the What if? Wish you the best in your decicion. Some people can tolerate things that other can, I'm just a person who is very careful because I don't like the outcome. Life altering changes are hard to except, but please do what is best for you and your family. Enjoy your vacation which other decision you make.
Linda :)
Guys really dont do rollercoaster.my symptoms blew up all after a ride and remained.these movements can also give traumas to ur head.i dont let any of my family ride rollercoaster its just not worth it!!!!
Hi . I am only a week and a half post -op....my NS as well said that I would need to avoid roller-coasters as well post-op....completely. The gravitational pull that goes along with roller coasters can cause the tonsils to herniate more and for the CSF to build up in the wrong places. Especially only 3 months post-op. IO know six flags is so much fun, but you may consider umniversal studios....it has lots of different rides that are not roller coasters, but that are ALOT of fun. THis is always our choice for this reason. It takes you through scenes of famous movies, and even though there is movement, it isnt gravitational.... so you still get alot of the fun and you are actuallly able to participate instead of just standing on the sidelines, watching your family. I know when you have your heart set on something ... it makes it hard to reset something. in your heart. It is just a suggestion. They have rollercoasters that your family can ride, yet they still have tons of scenes from famous movies that you an become a part of that are safe for your "brain" . I hope that this helps little bit. I hope that you can enjoy your vacation, but I am sure that all NS;s would agree that rollercoasters are a bad idea...epsecially so close to post op. Like Selma mentioned, just because you are feeling so much better doesn;t mean that you are recovered completely. You will see small differences withinin the next two or so years that makes you feel like...wow...I am still recovering. We were planning a family trip to Disney, and we have cancelled that and decided that we will try and set up some time in a few months to go to universal....it just isn't the same if mom.dad can't go on the rides. Good Luck and hope this info is helpful. I honestly though would not go on a roller coaster any time soon, or maybe ever again....before/after surgery. Best wishes to you and I hope you find a happy medium for the family.

My NS actually told me if things were good after 12 weeks to go ahead, just nothing super jerky.
We're heading to Cedar Point in about a week and half and my NS gave me the go ahead. I'll be 12 weeks post op at that point.
Never again my NS said. Don't risk it. I cried I LOVE roller coasters but do you want all hose symptoms to come back? Scary
Hi,,...I would not recommend it nor would I ever attempt it at this point.....
Recovery from this surgery can go on for some time and even when we feel we r done healing we can continue to see more progress, and certain things can impede that progress.,...
My NS said no to roller coasters,....b4 surgery and after,.....
