Yes I can relate to that. After three years of typing in school. I've now taking voice dictation software because mike typing skills stink. I don't know it is just weird anymore went from being a good typist not great but good to having to think were each finger was going and still hitting the wrong key. And now with voice dictation I'm realizing the real problem is that they may actually thinking the wrong words. It can get frustrating if you allow yourself to think about it. But what goes on one day and time one breath follow by the next. Life is much better than the alternative!

Yes, my peripheral vision is different.  I guess I would call it shadows,  It seems like my peripheral vision is more dark than the rest of my vision and sometimes I think something moved on the side of me, but it didn't.

This is exactly what has happened to my on occasions, the peripheral vision goes at times black or bright colors. Also I have lost my vision totally for a couple hours at a time , my vision looked as if I was in a thick dense fog,it  occured as I was helping my son with his homework the first time, it scared the ******* out of me ! I did see my opthalmologist, he said he thought it was related to my chiari, that I have some VF deficits, it has happened at different times since but that first time was the worst and it scared me.
so I feel your thoughts some on this subject. tell your doc too.

I did mention mine to my chiari dr.....and I was to an eye dr just prior to my surgery.
The rain effect has not reoccured since my surgery, but I do have the floaters back.

Like Shane99 said, mention it to ur dr......I agree it is odd that u have a green color tint to the edges.....keep calling ur dr until u get a call back.

I tried called my Specialist today and did not get a phone called but it looks like the outer edges of my vision is blurred and it is in color not black or grey but green. almost like I had a pair tinted glasses but the tint was on the edges. I know it's wierd.

It's possible that y'all are having optical migraines - and no it doesn't have to hurt to be a migraine. Basically the blood vessels leading from the eye can become constricted and cause loss of vision or the rain effect that selma mentioned. It's probably related to the Chiari, but you should mention it to your chiari specialist and see if he/she needs to rfer you to an opthalmaligist.

Yeah...always thinking what was that...and there's nothing there....but with the floaters, I figured that is what was causing it....could be wrong.

I even had one episode where it looked like raining runing down a window....almost all pereferal vison blurred away.

It's weird all the strange things that happen and u just think it's u.....and then u find out, mayb it is this thing called chiari......
