Post op question

It's been a little more than three weeks since surgery I have been doing as instructed by my ns to walk around and do the neck exercises.

Has anyone felt as though they needed a cane or some kind of support while walking? I have horrible balance and am very unsteady. Is this common or just me?

Hi...yes, I was instructed to use a walker to start off....I did have a cane 9 yrs b4 my surgery so I still have it....

U may want to get something to help u....and since it is warm, walk barefoot as much as possible as that can help u with balance too....the stiff/ hard shoes they use to sell for babies are no longer made bcuz they found that the softer shoe helps  with balance....

I had some balance issues before surgery.  I still have them but not as bad.  So my answer is yes.  But let your doctor know.
