Surgery a success

Hi all,

Had my surgery Thursday and all went well. When the NS did the bone & ligament work the space opened right up and I didn't need a duraplasty. The NS said it was very dramatic, he's never seen it happen that way.  It also turned out my herniation was larger than he thought, pressing down as far as C2. He removed C1 completely and shaved down C2.

I feel great except for the neck pain and stiffness. Sleeping well, ambulating on my own and keeping on schedule with my meds. Tomorrow I can finally wash my hair!

Thanks to all for the support I got on this board, made it so much easier to feel good about having the surgery.

  Thanks for the update!...Glad u r getting around on ur own, remember to do the neck exercises so u do not develop scar tissue.
