New doctor. He was very nice

Thank u Selma for the referal to dr prevedello.   He was very very nice.   He doesn't think my chiari is causing any of my problems as it is small but he feels I have PTC.  And a shunt should be all I need.  I really don't care what is wrong as long as it gets fixed.   And a shunt is a much easier procedure so I am happy.

He is also going to do flow studies and another LP.  Same as dr Di he doesn't want fluid removed just an opening pressure.  So so far he has been wonderful.  I actually go back in 2 weeks.  So much quicker than I am used to.

This is the best news inhave heard.  Help is only a few months away.

Ditto from me too, im on the rollercoaster again but hey I seem to have a Senior NL now verses a CM NS who are disagreeing.

NL thinks not cm and possibly 1/ neuro issure yet to manifest 2/ a rare disorder (cant remember name) or 3/ stomatization disorder. (basically meaning im nuts in the head)

But without you guys I could not carry on but am close to giving up now if my appointment monday is conflicting again then im throwing the towel in, over 3 years and looking back it has been 11 years with no real answers is enough.  I cant do this anymore.

Seems to me that England and Canada really get the brunt of the ignorant medics who just dont listen and want to label us mad.

That's so sweet and ditto for me too....that is what I was thinking today is that when other people or Doctors give up on us we always know that this forum will NOT!! It is truly a blessing  to have and I am eternally grateful as well :)

I just have to thank u again.   I would have never thought to use him just because he isn't listed as a chiari doc.   He really did know his stuff.  And with such a small chiari I barely qualify to be a chiari sufferer but I have been. And to finally have one willing to help even though it isn't focusing on the chiari it is going to relieve symptoms and if not I am at least one step closer.    Two years with doc after doc passing me back and forth.  All agreeing something is wrong. Not agreeing on what though and NO one helping I wa really giving up.

I just can't thank everyone enough for all their support and tips and help.  Small town small state rare conditions never get help.  But thanks to all of u I am so close to relief I could dance (if it still wouldn't hurt so damn bad lol).

Love u all words just can't express how much u have all saved my life, family, and me.  Love you
