I am sure it is hard to have a younger sister in class like that but at some point they will go in separate classes.....
My DD took 4 classes at that age....she was in Nutcracker then and they had to go to rehearsal which counted as a class.....she will be fine....my DD also did well in school as a result (my opinion) of the dance classes.
Oops to specify,Kailey didnt start til 4 because when she was younger we lived in an area where the closest studio was 2 hours away. when she was 4 we finally moved where we had a 30 minute drive instead :)
I was sad that because of where we lived,we could start our Kailey (the one who takes it seriously) until she turned 4. So it is good that she takes it seriously. The Teacher had her skip a class this year so she is with the girls her age,but the downfall still is that her sister started at 2.5 (they are 19 months apart) and are in the same class. So Kailey struggles with that because her sister doesnt really take it seriously. So I have 1 daughter who is one of the best in the class, and another who is about the middle of the class.
My photos are all up now,I only showed their costume photos because I take crazy amounts of photos and didnt want to just overflow the album, haha!!! My Emma is only taking one class this year, where Kailey is taking 3,next year she wants to add lyrical to it. I'm concerned about her taking 4 classes at the age of 8 but we will see how she does. I'm going to go check out your daughters photos now after I grab my daughter to come see too!

--Pull-up-my-pics-and-share-with-your-DD-there-are-pics-of-her-in-The-Nutcracker-and-in-a-few-other-types-of-dance-including-tap.....her-leg-is-the-highest-and-straightest-in-the-pic.....I'm-not-too-proud....lol....
--Taking-dance-seriously-did-not-hurt-my-DD-but-she-learned-so-much-like-working-hard-for-the-best-outcome-and-sticking-with-something-.....as-long-as-it-is-her-choice-let-her-do-it-her-way.....mine-asked-to-take-dance-at-2.5-an-never-stopped-wanting-to-do-it-it-took-us-and-her-all-over-the-world.
I apologize,I just saw this. This is her 4th year so she has only been in tap, ballet, and Jazz so far. She takes it so seriously that I have to remind her sometimes that she is 7 and I want her to have fun too!
She already talks about getting her pointe shoes even though they are years away. Her favorite style is jazz though, she love the spunk of it. Tap she struggles with the most and since she is so hard on herself,it is her least favorite. This year is where I've noticed the most growth and it made me so proud. I actually heard "Rythm" instead of noise, hehe! I have a 6 year old in dance as well, she does it for fun and doesn't take it seriously, and that is ok. I'll post some photos on my profile in a bit so you can see them.
My DD is a dancer as well....she is all grown and now teaches dance,....so I know how they are with it.,..mine just loved it....
As I mentioned b4, keep a journal of ALL her symptoms, and issues even if you are not sure if it could be Chiari related....track everything, what her activities were and how she felt after...it may help drive your point with the Drs,....
What dance form, does your DD like the most?...Ballet, tap, Jazz, hip hop?
Thank you Selma,to me,hers looks tighter than mine, but it could just be because she is smaller. It looks tighter compared to the normal MRI. I have printed off her MRI,my MRI,and a normal MRI to bring to her appointment tomorrow. I'm usually a laid back person, but I NEED to push to get a referral to a Neurosurgeon,at least so she can see her and the MRI. I just cannot stand seeing her so uncomfortable. She has loved dance, this is her 4th year, and she is struggling with dance because the activity makes her head hurt. SOMETHING is going on with her,and I refuse to believe that it is just "Pediatric migraines". That is what the Pediatrician diagnosed her with. These are too frequent to just be "Pediatric migraines".
Ok...I took a look and it looks congested for sure, but without a Chiari specialists and more testing it is hard to say....
This forum helped me in the same way, and it's one reason I am still here....
This is the correct MRI,sorry again for the mistake

Selma,it helps so much to be in Chiari groups! I dont think I would be this calm about it if I didnt have so many awesome people to talk to and answer my questions. :)
LOL....and I commented ,,,,lol...
Oh no!!! I posted mine on accident (I swear I'm losing it!) I will get hers on ASAP,I cant find where to delete my comment
Yeah, I just got my tablet out for Nov and see you are in it already....I also know how nervous you feel, I felt the same way....but would do it all over again.,,,.
No worries : )
This is her MRI, It was a lay down MRI,we do not have CINE anywhere near us. Any help or opinions will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you :) I've already posted my surgery date in the prayer thread. I was so nervous when I posted, but now I'm just thinking "Let DO this!". I'm sure nerves will come back the day before ;)
I understand that you are not professionals, but I do feel that many have gotten pretty good at reading them. My daughters Pediatrician is wonderful,we really do like her! But,many just are not Chiari smart. :( I will get the photo edited and posted within the next few minutes. Thank you again.
BTW- when you post a MRI make sure your personal info is not visible...use photo shop to cover or delete that info you do not wish to share... put the pics in your profile page photo album and include the link here in the thread....
Hi...yes, you can post your MRI's for your DD, but we are not medical professionals and it will only be an opinion....comparing them to our own MRI's not in any way to give your DD a DX....
Please post your surgery date in the surgery date thread so a Prayer Thread is posted for you.....wishing you and your DD all the best.
I'm going to push tomorrow for a referral to my Neurosurgeon, but it would help to be validated and know that I'm not just over worrying and seeing something that is not there, you know?
