Thank you for the prayers! We got the results from the second section cut out and it was cancer free! So my intuition was right and we caught the melanoma at the earliest possible stage. He will have to have checks every three month to make sure nothing new pops up. But just like with my health issue, we plan to not " borrow from tomorrow , but live for today!" And today is good!

This is not so much a wish as asking for prayers! I have chiari and Crohn's. And along with my own struggles with managing my own health issues around a family and full time job, we have been hit with something even scarier.. My husband had a mole removed, because I'm stubborn and insisted he go, and it came back as melanoma. They are saying we caught it early, but there are no garentees. They took a larger section out today and we have to wait for more results. Please keep us in your prayers! He is my rock and I just can't imagine how I would manage even every day things without him.
We are positive in our faith and we have a wonderful family support. We are both, usually the strong ones in our respective family's we are the ones to help hold others up and give support. It's hard to remain strong in such an unknown situation. Thank you for any prayers you can send our way.

I hope that I make a significant contribution in this life. So many people I see struggle with really difficult challenges. When I have my own difficult times, others' care and support can be the very thing that keeps my head above water. But I feel like I have an advantage with having good parenting in my childhood and a strong faith in God. I really struggle much of the time with what has been required of me here (having a medically and physically disabled son). But I am pretty tough.

So many people struggle without significant support from their families, and I can only imagine the feeling of isolation that comes from that. I want to be significant in helping and encouraging. I hope the people that hurt the most can find a glimmer of hope - and I hope God can use me to that end.

   Hi  ALL.....my  wishes  this  week  are  that  all that celebrate  Thanksgiving  is  able  to be  with  Family  and loved  ones  and are  safe and warm...

Be  careful  shoveling snow.....those  that  expect it  for the holiday.....

   Hi....I  am so sorry  to hear  that, I will  add  you  to my prayer list  to help you  get that approved....not  sure  how  or  why INS comps  decide  what  we should  or  should  not  have  done  medically...and most  INS  comps  do not  have  medical personal  on staff to help make  these decisions....

I wish my insurance would finally approve surgery! I was denied approval for a nerve decompression surgery. My nerves are starved of oxygen and are physically compressed due to a large amount of scar tissue. But my insurance won't approve of it! It's heartbreaking.

Hello everyone my Wednesday  wish for this week is for all the little children with Chiari, I have been reading a lot about this and having to hear about about little ones as young as 2 yrs old with CM1 and needing surgery broke my heart...as an adult I know how hard and pianful recovery can be, put I can't imagine a baby not being able to express how they feel!!! I pray for all the babies and the parents and that the Lord will not make themh go thru So much pain..<3

This Wednesday's wish is for my father. He will have his first Thanksgiving and Christmas without my dear mother, and I know it will be especially difficult. I am going to stay with him for a few extra days after the holiday travel. My wish for him is to be able to find some level of peace in knowing that his dear wife of 62 years is still with him - that spiritual presence can soothe the pain of physical absence. I also wish for my sister and I to be able to be extra loving to him.

   Hi  all  my  wish  this week  is  that  my  MIL  would  be  grateful  for  how this  stroke could  have been  far  worse  then it was...and  be  happy  to be with us...this is  going to  be  a long  journey for  her emotionally.....

   Oh  I  agree,  once  a yr  is not  enuff.....but we  can  start there and build.....

  Over  the yrs  I  was given  prozac  and  sent to  a  shrink for  individual  and  group  sessions,....back then  there were no MRI's  to  be done as  that was when I was in High school....I  got my  Chiari DX  at  age  48.....so  trust  me, I know  your  frustration ....

  More  testing is  a good  thing  so  you can  know ALL  related  conditions  as  they  can  have  an  effect on  how  you  feel  and heal  should  you  require surgery..

I know we  all  want to be  fixed  and for it to have been done yesterday,  but haste  makes waste  and  rushing to  surgery  issues can  get overlooked,...so  take   your  time to find  the right Dr  and timing  if  you  do  need  surgery.....relax  and take  a deep  breathe and remember  to  exhale  : )

I know Selma your rite...I just want to do A little  more than once a year...that's all...maybe I am just a little depressed or even hurt because a Neurologist sent me to a neuropsychologist for an evaluation that came back perfect!!! Now I get a all this morning from my NEW neurologist who did an EEG test last week and found that I get seizures on the left side of my brain,, do now more test :( This other NS just thought it was all in my head Same on him!!! Sorry but it make me so angry !!!!!!

   The  best  thing we  can do to aid  in  Chiari Awareness is  get  involved  in  the Chiari walks every  September....and share  what you  know  with  everyone....

HI everyone...My wish for today  is  for doctors  to  become more educated on CHIARI  and that less and less people have to go thru what most us  had to before we got the proper diagnose.. what can we do to make CHIARI  Awareness?

    My wish  this week.,,,,,is  I get   a new  phone....it's over  a week  with  no   phone  and   was told  the  model  I  want  will be  another  week....ugh....sigh....I  know  it may  not sound like  a  huge thing to  wish for....but it  is difficult to keep in  touch with  people when  you  do not have  a working phone....
