neck on fire

Hear recently I have had the sensation that my neck is on fire. Like its really hot to the touch from a few inches inside my hair line to the base of my neck where my head meets my neck. I know this is a normal thing for some who had surgery but should it be a concern of mine even though I haven't had surgery yet?? Thinking about calling my NL tomorrow and letting her know. Or do Ijust chalk it up as a new ssymptom and just bring it up in my next appointment.

It is a great thing that you are getting to see your doctor tomorrow. The heat in your neck does sound like a rare symptom. My son's hands do the same thing. I hope you find out something at your appointment. Keep current with us.

    I was   like   that  too....and heat  never  bothered me...but the cold...ouch.,made   me hurt all over...even in the summer  I wore  Ugg Like boots as my feet  and ankles   were  always  like  ice....since   surgery  I am better  on that  as  I  can  not  wear the boots in the  summer  and   I  get  hot  faster then b4...lol....it's always something....

My Nl will be fitting me into her schedule by Wednesday. She doesn't like the sound of it. As she seems well versed in this condition so maybe she actually will help things along. At least she doesn't think I'm making them up which is a relief. It just scared me when my neck was to hot to touch. I hope its nothing to serious but we will see. Regulating body temp is nothing new to me. I stay freezing unless I'm in what feels like 100 degrees.

   Hi   sorry,  I  just  saw  this......never  heard  of  this one  b4....do  call  your  Dr  to make  sure  it  is a  temp regulation  issue  and not something  else....I  know  we  can have  temp regulation  issues with  a syrinx  and  Chiari....so...do see if this  new  symptom for  you  indicates  anything else.
