went to ns yesterday. he said my last mri in 07 was perfect. after an mri said i had chiari and 3 torn vertabraes and 2 herniated discs. he doesnt know what is pinching my nerves, or whats causing the pain in my neck, back sciatic, legs or feet. he see's no reason to operate and dismissed me.  does it ever end ?

  selma, welcome to my world. this is what ive been getting, and since ive been on here i relized i wasn't alone. i was thinking i was crazy till i got on here

  Oh, I forgot to mention, no everyone with chiari is a surgical candidate, but there r ways to treat it if u r not considered for surgery....so to be dismissed with no plan does not make sense.

  Hi, if this had been a true chiari specialist, they would have done a new MRI, and asked if u had new symptoms....u would not have been dismissed so readily.

Changes can occur in a short amount of time and u have had 4 yrs go by with out a MRI....

U need to locate a chiari specialist,otherwise u will continue with appointments like that.
