what is the purpose of this test and why the IV?
Wow poor you. You had a very bad experience!
Last summer I got a tilt table test done. It was net fun, but it was far as bad as yours!
They hoked me up on an IV, they then putted 3 different blood pressure device on my harm then they sarted to moniter me. First lying flat on the table for about 5 min and they raised me. And I passed out!!! I woke up upsidedown with a wet towel on my forhead. They then keeped me in observation for an hour.
Take care and take rest.
I am so sorry...I never had one so I was curious as to what all was done, I had an idea...but this is more telling....and scary....yikes....hope I don't ever need one.
Hope u feel better soon ((hugs))
Oh ya the meds made my legs and hands go completly numb. Just not a good experience. Now I've had a headache since, great.....
They hooked me up to monitors, put blood pressure cuff on me, then put in iv......they monitored me layin down for 5 min, then put the table up which made me feel like passing out right away. The blood pressire cuff went off so much my arm hurt and went numb. This lasted 20 min. Then they put meds in my iv and I thought I was dying. Heart rate went from 100 to 200 within seconds. I was sweating, shaking, disoriented, nauseous and crying beggin them to stop. The nurse talked me into finishin. 20 long min with the med. Then they let me rest til my heartrate was down. Didn't even wheel me to car they made me walk all weak and worn down. Thank. Goodness my mom took me. It was so scary. I will never do it again ;(
