what do you do when your child will not do as he is told or listen.

This child will not do as he is told, I'll have to pull him across my lap and spank him to get him to listen to me help me .I take him to delpelchen child center but they don't see him as I do?

Perhaps it would be better to see if you can improve on your child/parent interaction, stop the hitting him for a start as that isnt the way to get cooperation, how old is the child?A lot of small children dont listen experts have said they store the information for later use, there is a good book to read it is SOS Help for parents by Lyn Clark, The fact the center sees him in a differant light shows you where the problem lies. Focus on his positive side praise him when you see him doing something right.
