1yr old wont sleep

ok so my son is almost 1 and the last couple of days he hasnt been sleeping at night it started after he had a bad cold and cough. ever since wednesday the 14th his been waking up at night which wasnt unusual but his not staying asleep it use to be that hed go to bed no later than elevan or twelve and would wake up at one and go right back to sleep but now his wakeing up at one and sleeping til three or four and not going back to sleep id get him down and out but ever time id lay him down now he wakes back up and well do this several times until its six am he wont eat i have to fight with him constantly all he wants is to snack and ive stop giving him snacks but he still wont eat or sleep his naps are the same morning nap is at elevan or tweleve and hell wake up at two and take a nap after lunch around three or four other than the sleeping at night nothing has changed

It sounds as if when he was sick he got out of routine, maybe he went into your bed? and got some drinks maybe a snack or two, and he likes that ,so you have to let him alone in his own crib when he wakes up, once it isnt doing anything for him he will give up.Did I understand you that he went to bed around 11-12  at night ,Thats too late for a 1year old 8pm is a good time , he sounds like he is napping a lot during the day maybe he doesnt need that much, so cut the afternoon one back, no wonder you have had him up till 11-12 at night if he sleeps during the day till 4pm.So get a good routine going , thats the problem he hasnt got one .Good Luck
