2 y/o refuses bedtime

My 2 y/o granddaughter has had the same bedtime routine since she has been 5 months old . We go to her room where i give her a drink of milk , a kiss goodnight and I tuck her in with her favorite blanket . This week she lays down then jumps up screaming and crying until I go back in and talk her down and convince her that I am tired and have to go to bed. Nothing has changed , not her room , crib even the way the furniture is set up . She normally goes to bed tired but awake . What is going on ? Can you give me any idea what is wrong ?

This discussion is related to 2.5 year old refusing to sleep suddenly in her room at night.

Is she going to a day care or has a babysitter , could her daytime routine have changed, is she napping during the day and for how long.Is she with you permanently or at the weekend , have you asked Mom and Dad what has happened ,sorry all questions but they may affect her sleeping pattern ...
