:-) I must say margy's suggestions are good to rely upon..I have started the sticker thing...n trying to change myself as even I had become that be quick kinda mom. Have deliberately kept control on myself since last week and touchwud I think , I feel it shall work...
My daughter is 2n a half plus and does almost the same but surely she listens to me when I turn the chore into a race n tell her dad to see n tell who is winning. She wont eat properly otherwise but now since a week I eat according to her timings so as she feeds me n simultaneously I feed her...although in all this I feel as if what have I had or just dont get to feel the taste of food but its simply fun to see her tell me...mum finish it fast I am waiting with the next piece in my hand :-) Plays do make kids learn their routines n get used to it.
Make a game of it instead a chore and also give her time to do it, so many parents think children jump as soon as they are told to do something,so say to her 'come on lets tidy your room you pick those toys up and I will pick these up, if she is busy playing say to her. "We have to clear up soon would you like a few more minutes."children nearly always say No when told to do something immediatly, be patient.
