7 year old boy

I came home today to find out that my seven year old son had pulled down my 3 year old nieces undies. My mother walked in as my niece was getting off of the bed, with her undies below her butt.  My 4 year old niece and 5 year old son both said my son had pulled them down.  My son said he did not do it on purpose.  My 7 year old son has lied to me before and I really do not know what to think.  Should I take my son to a psychiatrist to find out if there are other underlying issues?

If this is just one incident, it sounds normal. I wouldn't worry too much.

No, you do not need to take your son to a psychiatrist.  However, you might want to be sure that he is watched more closely so this behaviour does not occur again.  I suspect you are dealing with the "normal curiosity" of a seven-year old re sexual differences.  Just my opinion ....
