9 yearold started urinating on carpet.

I have a 9 year old daughter who just started the 4th grade. She does not have a father nor any siblings. Towards the end of her 3rd grade year she had another little girl spend the night and she (the little girl) required pull ups. Shortly after, we noticed a urine smell in my daughters room. We thought her friend got up in the middle if the night and urinated on the carpet. Just recently we found out it was my daughter and she had also urinated in her closet! We made her clean it up herself and, again, yesterday, she urinated in the middle of her bedroom. There has not been any recent trauma in her life, nor stress. She is very intelligent and has normal friends and has never had a bed wetting problem. She is not wetting herself, she is purposely taking off her pants and panties and urinating.  HELP!!!!

It sounds like your daughter might want pull ups to. She might be doing this because she thinks that if she wets everywere, you will put her in diapers. She probably is jealous about her friend wearing pull ups and wants them too. I am not sure how you handle it because I just wanted to point that out, but maybe by asking her he might tell you she does want them. If so, you should give them to her. Pull ups or otherwise. This may be just a phase and want nothing to do with diapers in a few months

the other girl was about the same age- 8 at the time. My daughter didn't say much because she was going to be in trouble.

How old was the other child that she needed pullups? Have you asked your daughter why she did that ,what reason did she give?
