Behavior

My daughter is going to be 4 in may. She has a hard tim listening to me. She never wants to do anything when i ask her. Even the littlest things make her start saying no and screaming. A good majority of the day she spends screaming aboutt something. Ive tried time out and nothing seems to calm her down. any thoughts???

Give her choices ,children do well when not demanded they do things immediatly so if you say to her 'Do you want to brush your teeth now or in a half hour "instead of" brush your teeth now 'which will inevitably get you a ;No;Children listen and store the infrormation for later use,one study has shown,Tantrums are a normal part of development frustration , as language skills increase tantrums decrease. When she throws a tantrum the bset way is to duistract her , do something silly to lighten the mood, play some music, dance ,sometimes simply do not feed into it, walk away and let her yell.Time outs can work but its best to avid them in the first place if you can, Good luck
