My 4 year old "hears voices" in her head

My 4 yr. old daughter says that she hears voices in her head. I asked her what do they say and she says " they tell me bad things, to do bad things and say bad things". She says that they sound like the simpsons voices. I told her they are not real and she said " yes they are, I talk to them all the time". She has been saying this for about a year, off and on, just out of the blue. She asks me if I hear voices in my head and I tell her no. I don't know if this is normal or not.

just so you all know, she does NOT watch the Simpsons. There are commercials on TV that the Simpsons do. Calm down people, I said she said the voices " sound like the Simpsons " which if you interpret that, they must be tiny squeeky voices or something.
Thank you for those who addressed the question I was concerned about and didnt get all upset over the Simpsons!!

Why would she be watching the Simpsons. Not all TV is good 4 children. The Simpsons are bad kids and sometimes very dirty. I thought they were funny on Tracy Ulman. I watched one show when it turned into a show were there at some dinner and someone shot the whole place up and there was blood all over. It was sick and wrong. I don't think it's cute at all, she's 4 her brain is still in progress. Poor little child so wonder she's not having nightmares.

I wonder if she is talking about thinking?? I remember when I said the same thing to my parents when I was about her age, and I couldn't think of any other way to explain that I heard things in my head, but I didn't know what it was...LOL! Of course I realize now that I meant I was thinking, but I didn't know the term then. Just a thought.....

I would talk with her pediatrician. I would not wait until age 7, I'd make an appointment now.

the simpsons? that is just too cute-
at the very least while you continue to monitor it tell her some people hear voices telling them to do bad things but there is always another voice that comes along tells us not do the bad thing and to listen to "that voice". If she says it after around age 7 I might worry
