Sudden Change in Behaviour 2 and a half year old

Hi There,
we have a 2 and a half year old that has been attending childcare for around 3 weeks with no issues. He then had a febrile convulsion from fever and was away for 1 week. On returning to care he has had a marked change in behaviour showing excessive crying and is generally upset most of the day. Is this normal? The carers are concerned as the behaviour is so dramatically different. He has also in recent weeks lost a full time carer that was looking after him 5 days a week however there didnt seem to be any problem in the transition from carer to childcare centre before he was ill. Are there any side effects from febrile convulsion that I should be concerned about?
Many thanks
Natalie

I think its a big transistion to having a Carer and going to Day school, is there any way you could cut down on the Day care? It does seem to come from being there , hes not getting one to one care now either,Hes only 2  he needs Mom around more if it is possible.Your Doc will tell you if there are any effects from the Fever he had.

Did your toddlere first get sick at the daycare?  If so, he may associate that feeling all over again with being there.
