It kind of sounds like the "normal" beginnings of schizophrenia. This is not hocus pocas bullcrap. Either the child is pulling something dramatically imaginative that he will be ostracized for or he may have a chemical unbalance in his brain. Don't take this lightly. Seek a mental health expert, if anything the school psychologist.
not trying to be an *** here, but have you considered what he claims to be experiencing is real? It's not my thing, but I've had friends who go through this stuff. Think six sense...
Hi there -
Please consider getting your son thoroughly evaluated by a doctor to rule out any physical causes, including looking for any side effects of medication he may be taking.
This isn't to say what he is experiencing isn't clairvoyance - we can't diagnose him online (no one can), but ruling out a medical issue is important.
Unfortunately, we have to close this thread as it's become mostly a discussion of clairvoyance vs. religion, but we wish you and your son the best.
Emily
I would definitely seek the help of a reputable clairvoyant first. As others have said, don't tell them what your son sees and ask them if they see or feel anything. I'm not a firm believer in ghosts and spirits, but I do know that there are many things that we do not understand and have had some strange experiences myself. Look into that side of things first before subjecting him to uncomfortable medical testing. Another explanation is that he has been hearing scary stories about ghosts and is now afraid of them. You say it's impossible that your son heard about the man who hung himself in your fathers home, but you never know when your son could have been hanging around on the other side of a door or around a corner listening to you or some other adults talking about it when you thought he wasn't around.
You could even set up camera in your house, I'd also recommend taking pictures of your son frequently, tell him it's just because, and for no apparent reason
My culture is a culture very in tuned with the spiritual world. We believe young kids can see spirits before they loose their baby teeth. And then there are those people that are open up to spirit attacks when a certain event happens. We also believe that spirits can follow you home from certain places. And then they continue to haunt you and become a problem for the individual, sometimes for a lifetime if they don't get rid of it. I think that's what could of happened to your son.
Whatever the case, whether you believe it or not, don't disregard your son's fear. He's really having fear whether you believe in ghosts or not. And i know exactly how he feels, because when I was a child I went through some similar stuff that no one would believe. I was alone.
We used to live in a haunted house. And would experience hauntings. My mom would tell us it was nothing, and that we're just imagining. When we got older, she confessed that she knew about the haunting, and kept quiet because didn't want to scare us. I don't know if it would have been better for her to tell us if it were ghosts or not...we would have been scared. The church elders came to pray over our home and the sound of flip-flops and high-heels walking down the hallway, and the flickering of lights and sound of washing dishes suddenly stopped after that. We were a Christian family, we never "saw" anything. My cousin moved in and his wife literally had a full blown haunting in broad daylight.
I would seek religious help from a non-Charismatic and biblical church, and have a pastor come and pray for your home and your son.
My sister in law's mother moved into a house a few years ago. Her daughter who was less than 5 years old was always crying and saying there was a lady hanging from the stairs. This was upsetting her mom. When she had specifically asked the real estate agents if anybody had died in the house they lied and said no. So she investigated by asking the neighbors. Turns out that the daughter of a family that used to live there hung herself from the stairs. They will also constantly hear the toilet flush in the hallway upstairs and and door nob turning and water out of the faucet like someone is washing their hands fragrantly. The child was always afraid, so they sold the house. She's okay now.
Trust your instincts even if it is unexplainable by human reason. Still seek professional help though.
We're not fighting against flesh and blood, but against the principalities and spirits from the spiritual realm. Apparently you're knew to this.
Just because we don't see them, feel them, and understand doesn't mean it isn't there.
Im gonna go ahead and disagree here. Your son may just be a clairvoyant. Why not try and link up with an adult clairvoyant and see if they experience the same presences he does? See if they can describe the things he sees before you tell them anything about particulars. I realize that you dont believe in such things, but many people would disagree with you. What do you really have to lose by trying to connect with an adult who has similar experiences? Spirits and demons are attracted to such people. The little boy he speaks with may very well be one such negative entity. This can be very dangerous for all of you if you arent educated on how to deal with such things. I say you entertain the idea and speak to someone knowledgable on the subject first before subjecting him to medical testing. What do you really have to lose? Just my two cents. I hope you get to the bottom of this. Best of luck to you and your family.
Im not sure how you feel... But I would much rather my child be experiencing "sensitivity" In which case he may grow out of and not even remember. Then have something medically wrong like ADHD. I would definitely call a Medium to check out ur house without giving them the exact details of what your son is seeing and see what they come up with. Mb a scary thought, but why put your son through unnecessary medical procedures, and make him feel like you dont believe him or you thank he is nuts, if it's not needed. Especially if what he is saying he sees is real.
I'd try other explanations before assuming he is really seeing dead beings. Have you ever had him evaluated for anxiety? Some kids (especially those who get a lot who don't feel they have earned it) can get super anxious. Rather than just letting "his doctor" say it's a phase, get a physical workup, including assessment of how much sleep he is getting and how much exercise, and then have him talk to a counselor who specializes in assessing kids for the whole raft of things, ADHD, sensory, etc..
