Exploration play involves many things. It could be outdoor exploration of nature. Sensory stimulation is often involved. For example the rough bark of a tree trunk or the velvet touch of a flower petal, or the feel of sand. Watching ants carry food back to the ant hill etc. Indoor exploration play could be as simple as having children identify what's in the box just by touch...a ball, toothbrush, finger jello etc. It could involve a puppet show with different animal characters...just use your imagination. Exploring the world around them in various ways. Hope this helps.
