taking things

My 4 year old daughter, has recently started taking things from school or her friends place.  She takes one toy and puts it in her bag and comes home.  After coming home she shows it to me and tell me she took from her friends place.  I don't understand why she is doing this.  This has happened on four occasions in the last one month.  Everytime i make her return the item and am explaining her that it is wrong to so such thing.  I am getting very worried about this.  What should I do to correct this behaviour.  Please advise.

Did you ask her why she does it, what was her answer, she showed you it did she say she was borrowing it, just keep telling her no she cannot do that and she wont go to the firends house if she does take things .Next time she does it say she cannot go to the house and not let her, with school perhaps enlist Teacher to help, as I am assuming she has to return things there.
