Hello, I wanted to see if you were able to follow up with your doctor. Let us know how you are doing and what advice they gave you.
Hello and welcome to the forum. Thanks so much for your question. So, I'm very glad to read your total cholesterol dropped. That's good news. Triglycerides are a different lipid and that has risen indicates you have a bit of work to do. When total cholesterol is not affected but triglycerides rise, it's called hypertriglyceridemia. There are natural ways to try and combat this. Just like with your total cholesterol, your diet matters. Less things like white rice, starchy potatoes, white bread, etc. hypertriglyceridemia. Do you drink alcohol regularly? This will raise triglycerides. Here's a list to consider of things to give up for your diet. https://www.webmd.com/cholesterol-management/ss/slideshow-triglyceride-foods-to-avoid You also should be exercising regularly. I do want to point out, however, that your triglycerides are still within normal. Less than 150 is acceptable. Is your doctor recommending anything to you? If they continue to rise, medication can be prescribed.
