What is the risk of switching from simvastatin to pravastatin after 30 years?

I am a 62 year-old male who has been taking simvastatin for about 30 years. All of my cholesterol-related numbers are in a healthy range, and I have never experienced any serious side effects (e.g., muscle weakness, kidney and liver impairment, etc.). I have, however, had trouble sleeping for the past several years (perhaps caused by simvastatin, perhaps not). More importantly, I have been experiencing back pain for the past few months and would like to try CBD. I am down to sleep a few hours a night. (Hopefully, I can resolve the cause of the back pain but, in the meantime and in anticipation of requiring pain relief as I get older.) For the past 20 years, I have avoided NSAIDs, acetaminophens, other pain relievers and muscle relaxants because of their adverse effects to liver and kidneys (personally more significant because my dad had kidney disease). Since cannabidiol inhibits the liver's production of cytochrome P450, I am wondering about switching from simvastatin to pravastatin. That would allow me to try CBD, which appears to have minimal side-effects. I also wouldn't mind getting more than a few hours of sleep per night. That said, am I taking a risk by switching statins after three decades? I haven't been able to find any significant and update research that covers this situations. Thank you.
