cfs/ concussion/ fall/ impact to body

just sharing what happened after i fell from bed in the afternoon, onto tiles 48 hrs ago.

landed on my sacrum and upper back, and hit my head mildly too. hoped it wouldnt be too much of a problem be knew in reality it was going to be a setback within a setback.

first of all - sore - yes even though i was relaxed when i fell, it has jarred my body  - muscles all aching from the start.

slept relatively well - SO TIRED. no surprise.
had to lie down more than
usual.

bit of nausea in the afternoon and a bit of diarrhoea.

had to head to bed by 4:30pm.
slept well again. TIRED.
body lead weight, dead weight, nearly paralysed. sore all over. bruise on butt bone. probably bruise on lower neck bone. i can't turn my head enough to see. the impact loosened some stiff muscles in my neck, but overall - bad thing to happen. neck muscles quite sore. upper back quite stiff.
i wouldn't say i got concussion, but with cfs everything is exaggerated and amplified.
a fall like this, to a healthy person, would be forgotten within the hour, and maybe a bit sore the next day, but with cfs, it's like falling from twice as high.
very groggy all day.
i expect the same for day 3 and maybe even beyond but i really hope the worst is over. have been able to watch half an hour of telly these days, but won't be able to this week i anticipate.

so it's music in bed all day. in another context, this would be bliss.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It looks like muscle injury due to the fall which has been exaggerated by the CFS symptoms. Apply warm compresses on the area and take some over the counter anti-inflammatory pain killer like ibuprofen or diclofenac.Application of topical muscle relaxants will also help. Coginitive behaviour therapy is quite helpful in chronic fatigue syndrome and you can go in for this. There is no medication available that can treat CFS specifically, but different medicines like pain killers and antidepressants are quite useful.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
