I am a 32 year old male with 16 years smoking experience. Around 20 days back i started experiencing chest pain after i smoke. Went to ER where they did X-Ray, ECG and blood test and all came as good(lungs clear). I was told that there was nothing to worry. I was then directed to GP who directed me to gastroenterologist and cardiologist. Both confirmed that i was fine. I went and met pulmonologist who asked to do a PFT. PFT results: Spirometry: Normal flow rate. FEV1 is 82% mildly reduced. FVC is 85% mildly reduced.
Midflow 73% mildly reduced.
3. Maximum voluntary ventilation: MVV is 80% mildly reduced.
4. Flow-volume loop: Suggests minimal restriction.
5. Lung volume study: The total lung capacity is 88% suggests minimal restrictive lung
disease. Residual volume 166% suggests air trapping.
7. Diffusion capacity: The DLCO is 88% and DLCO/VA 108%, both normal.
Was told that i have sort of a inflamatory. Wasn't happy with the doctor so i went to see another pulmonologist who said that i was totally fit. The chest pain, fatigue and pain in joints are still there. Based on all of this, is there anything that i have to worry about? Could this be any sort of cancer or COPD? Please help...
